[wp-docs] Features List

Podz, and the others,
My original idea for the features page was a comprehensive listing of
the features of wordpress, as would interest a future user.
The author of that page would have to use some discretion as to the
granularity of resolution -- for example, we would not want to write
"All menu items formatted as lists"
since "produces semantic code" covers the above.
Likewise, wpautop can be left out since we already say that WP
produces elegant text formatting or something similar.
In short, the page should be the answer to the question:
"Where can I find a comprehensive list of features offered by wordpress?".
Podz, would you rather I started work on it at Codex? I could set up
the page initially and make it available for fleshing out.
The utility of such a page would be that it would serve as an
introduction to the features offered by wordpress, with links to
details about the features, which could be
a) How To pages ( like how to blog by email)
b) Description of functions/terms (like post-meta)
And like I said before these pages could be linked off of the "more
details..." links at the end of each feature in the list.
To begin with a standalone document with a list of features, with not
_more_ than a line or two describing the essence of each feature would
be great.
Again, I could start it off, what do you guys say?
Please do not confuse this with an user manual of any sort :)
Great to see active discussion here, again.
Regards,
Carthik.
