[wp-docs] Suggestion : Plugins/ Hacks archive

Hi,
I was thinking it might be useful to have a plugin/hack archive, with 
the source for all the pluging/hacks in one place, preferably on some 
official wordpress site, or even off it, as a central resource to get 
the plugins, (excuse the example, but what I have in mind is something 
like http://mt-plugins.org :) ). Today for the third time, I got a 404 
while looking for a hack zip file, and I also saw scriptygoddess.com had 
a new paginate-everything plugin that was not linked off of any wp site.
I beleive this would make it easier to search for the right plugin/hack, 
and get it.
I don't know the legal issues involved, as to whether the authors might 
have copyright over the pluging and all that, but I would love to have 
all of you think about this as a possibility.

The wiki is good, but I still can't act as a repository for zip files, 
if you know what I mean :)
