I don't mean to volunteer Matt for more work, but it is also possible 
to merge contributions from separate users and/or IP addresses. So you 
might want to ask him to do that for you, then you won't need to do the 
redirecting (you can just delete the unused user), and the system will 
accurately attribute all of your changes to the one account.
