Isn't there already something in the wiki (if not codex) about this?

Personally, I'd like to see the command-line instructions, since when 
you need help (beyond the basics) nobody ever seems to be able to 
provide instructions for Tortoise, but everyone seems to know the shell 
commands.  Also, you'd only have to describe how to do it once, since 
the commands are the same.
