Oh my god Craig, I think you just hit pay dirt. Yikes, that would be so
much fun. Just think of how much would get done! :-D (And there's
nothing to say that the modifications for forums-leveraging couldn't be
done at the same time.)
Okay, I suppose now that I've broken the seal I have to say a few
things:
- I like the idea of leveraging the forums + Mosquito + Codex. I think
discussion in this area is on the right track.
- I think there's absolutely nothing wrong with lurking on mailing
lists. Even though I personally plan to contribute more than lurk as
much as possible, I agree with Tor's sentiments wholeheartedly. That
said, it can be a bit discouraging when you're trying to rally the
troops and get no response, but the nature of non-exclusive mailing
lists is that they're lurker territory, and expectations should be
adjusted accordingly.
- Documentation is good.
- WordPress is good.
- MediaWiki, Mantis & the forums are good.
- I'm doing Wiki Day!
