Ta :)
It's not for the recognition that I do it though, just like the fact
that you know php doesn't make you want to contribute to WP.

WP gets knocked - still - for a lack of documentation.
As far as I know, and judging from forum posts over time, the big stuff
has been tackled. There are some bits left, but I've an eye on what
needs doing and they ain't difficult.
What is odd is this "Where are the docs ????" posts.
I honestly don't see the point of stuff like:
1 - Click 'Write'
2 - Enter a title
3 - Start typing *after* clicking in the text area
......
To do that seems to me to be a waste of time, but even though we do have
the main issues covered - and in Codex - we still get posts .. what do
people want ? PDF's ? If so, fine, we can create them (though it's a
proprietary format...)

Part of the reason for suggesting a Wiki Day was to get people to look
and say "Hey, you missed XXXXXXX" - but nothing.. and that's when my
frustration creeps in because if there was a plugin wishlist, it would
get deluged.

I don't mind - in fact I like - the spread of questions we now get in
the forums because it proves that much documentation does exist - or
much word-of-mouth / friends / other forums / whatever - but it does
mean that the help is more specialised. Issues such as IIS, logging in
still crop up and working to address them is hard because of the
widespread issues - and anyway, no questions = no forum.

The fact that 60+ people will read and ignore this mail along with all
the others does irritate me - WHY did you subscribe ? and if you aren't
contributing, why not UNsubscribe ? - but that's a personal annoyance -
I won't get over it but I will shut up - until next time :)

Maybe a forum post is needed ..
