Yes, you could add a "how helpful was this thread for you?" rating
system, and then flag the most highly rated answers as important
support forum threads.
If I could make a request of support vols, it would be that they link
to the FAQ when the FAQ has an answer.
http://faq.wordpress.net/view.php?s= search+string+here will let them
know if the faq has anything relevant.
By linking to the FAQ or the wiki, we can let the users know there are
places they can search first, and so the next time they have a
problem, they will try to find an answer first.
