That's an interesting idea. If such a thing could be constructed, it
might be nice to have the top 5 or 10 items listed and linked _above_ the
forums, so people can (hopefully) avoid repeating questions.

Some forums have checkboxes that allow the original poster to flag a
"correct" response to their problem. Some also let visitors mark off
whether the thread as a whole was valuable to them. That might be a
(complex) way to track value in the answers...
