I read more about the FDL and it kinda sucks. It's incompatible both 
ways with GPL, so we couldn't use text from the documentation in 
WordPress or from WordPress in the documentation. Which kinda defeats 
the purpose.

On the new wiki it says if you submit you're licensing your words under 
the GPL, with basically "code" being understood as language. A couple of 
projects have gone this way and it seems to make sense to have the 
documentation under the same license as WP itself.
