Lol, I'd really enjoy "random stylesheets". :-) You'd never be quite
sure what colors were coming out. :-)

However, it is traditional to keep with one across a php prog's install.
I've used several. Although, some do package one or two extra "skins".
Ultimately, we don't want to bloat the package with "ooh preettty" stuff
when most users aren't going to use more than one.

I would really like to see an area of the WP site dedicated entirely to
"skins" or "themes" or "styles" or whatever the official title would be.
That would promote neat designs around WP that would in turn attract
more users.
