As mentioned in a previous email, I'm roughing out an outline. In the
meantime, if you'd like to get started, I think Podz had a great
suggestion in the forums about taking a look at the most active topics
(in the statistics section) and using that as a springboard. The docs
team has never worked on the assumption that WE will tell YOU what to
write, by god. If there's something you want to address, go for it.
Just drop a note to the list so we can try to eliminate duplicated efforts.
If you need other suggestions, I have a whole bunch. :) Template tags
need updating and clarifying. I'd like to see examples of each, with
better explanations for what arguments each can take. We need migration
guides for each of the blog systems WP supports, with details and
troubleshooting. We could use a general troubleshooting guide, for that
matter, detailing the most common error messages and their solution. On
the other hand, Podz has written short tutorials on things like using
FTP and explaining CHMOD, both of which are useful to newbies. I've
written one on downloading the CVS. You're only bound by your
imagination, really...and the fact that it should be at least somewhat
relevant toWP. :)
