I don't even know if you can restrict access to the Wiki. It would be good
to give everyone read access, but if possible, I agree with you on limiting
the write/edit access.

I guess we have to nag the developers a bit. ;) I'm sure that they are busy
coding their arses off, but we only need a bit of time and attention to
address this, IMO. The Guardian's review of WP was great, but it puts some
pressure on the community as well.

The term "meritocracy" is PERFECT.

I can sign in now, but often I forget to do so. I promise to be more
diligent with that, and I will certainly leave some notes to indicate what
changes I have made. I've done this at times, but it really should be an
"every time" habit.

While we're on the topic of Wikis, I have a question: Does this grass skirt
make my ass look big? LOL!
