I think that we're in a bit of a tough spot here. What I mean is that we
need to try to help and appease a wide variety of skills with the
documentation. We've got to get the most basic and fundamental stuff first.
Since WP has been reviewed, and will, as a result, start picking up more
people having a look, one of the critical things they will want is
documentation. If they have the mistaken belief that WP is for those with
high-level skills only, then soon a reputation of "I went to their site, and
it looks like you have to be a programmer to use it" will be common
throughout the forums across the blogosphere.
Creating a reputation is MUCH easier than fixing one.
I was thinking that a WPHacks page was a bit premature, given the fact that
1.0 is just around the corner, and quite possibly many, if not most, of the
mods would require changes. Cena hit the nail right on the head with that
point.
