A list of hacks is a great place to start. However, I think when it
comes down to it, we need to think about writing howtos on how to
implement each of them in clear, simple language. Referencing a forum
post is probably only useful to people who already know what they're
doing. Plus, many times they're full of digressions, thank-yous,
etc...stuff not related to the topic at hand. Also, many of them do not
work as is with 1.0-alpha (and presumably won't with 1.0 final.)

I'm thinking that we need to do a couple things here with the hacks.
One, we need a doc on how to use the upcoming my-hacks.php (although I
prefer Craig's suggestion of wp-mods for naming.) Second, we need to
contact the mod authors about updating their hacks (if necessary) for
the 1.0 release, and/or come up with docs on how one might update a hack
themselves (for example, renaming paths/filenames. (Dangerous stuff, I
know. I'm barely capable of changing a color in .css. :)) Thirdly, if
the mod author can't or won't (or can't be contacted) provide adequate
documentation about their own damn hack, it needs to be written.

These are all ideals. We've got plenty of other stuff on our plates, I'm
well aware, both with other docs and that real life thing. :) But I
thought I'd throw this out there for consideration. Any thoughts?
